Short, but great, reads!
|
|
In an effort to offer ever-more opportunities to read great South Dakota history, we're bringing you two new types of books this fall.
Firstly, as of today, the epub version of our first Ebook Short is available for download. The first in this series of essays is Carlton L. Bonilla's essay, "A South Dakota Rendezvous: The Sturgis Motorcyle Rally and Races." Bonilla received a Spur Award from the Western Writers of America for this essay. The Kindle version will be available shortly.
Secondly, our first chapbook is at the printer and will be available for purchase in the next couple of weeks. A chapbook is a short book of, usually, between thirty and sixty pages. Chapbooks originated in England some five hundred years ago, but have recently come back into vogue. Our first chapbook is entitled Why We Love History, and it is full of interesting perspectives on that subject from some of our authors and illustrators.
We're committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional publishing, so you can expect more such offerings in the future!
