Flashback Friday: The Life and Style of Casey Tibbs

Born in a log cabin sixty miles northwest of Fort Pierre, South Dakota, in 1929, cowboy Casey Tibbs went on to be a rodeo star and Hollywood celebrity.

Among many achievements, his record of winning six saddle-bronc World Championships from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association still stands today.

Tibbs was also memorable for his flashy style, particularly his penchant for purple, which was his choice of color for both clothes and Cadillacs.
